We hosted the See Mommy Run cookout at our house this weekend to wish farewell to one of the Mommas in our group. She and her family are moving to VA next week. Here are Katie, Jake (Kristin's son) and John-John (Amy's son---the ones who are moving) playing in the yard. This is the newly landscaped portion of the yard where Chris intends to build a ginormous play structure.

Ben hadn't napped all day, so by the time we set him down to eat, he was wiped out. He actually fell asleep eating--a first for him. He would wake up enough to try to grab a bite to get to his mouth, but would still have his eyes closed and would fall asleep in the middle of the attempt to eat. We were in hysterics while all this was taking place. Such fun!
We purchased iced cookies from Cinotti's bakery to have as dessert. Katie thoroughly enjoyed her blue frosted cookie, but wouldn't put down her bug cage (which was housing a lizard at the time). She ended up with blue frosting all over her face.
