Harry and Barb at the wedding. We enjoyed our visit with them (and Heather and Scott, too), but it was a pretty quick trip. On Sunday, we were back to Florida, and are happy to see the kids again, get some rest, and get back to a more normal schedule. Posted by Picasa

After only two days at home, I turned right around and got back on a plane. This time, Chris and I headed to Long Beach, California for cousin Kurt's wedding to Emily. Here are Emily and Kurt at the rehearsal dinner. The kids stayed home with Grama Susan. Posted by Picasa

Back home again! Katie and Dexy play in an empty box. Neither one of them can resist boxes. Posted by Picasa

Grampa, Katie, Aunt Kelly, and Momma. Check out how BIG I'm getting now that I've hit the six month mark! We took these shots just before leaving for the airport to head home to FL. I'm happy to report that Miss Katie slept the WHOLE WAY HOME! We took the red-eye back and I was so afraid she wouldn't sleep. Posted by Picasa

Grampa and Katie go exploring on the beach. Katie had SUCH fun digging in the sand and shells. Posted by Picasa

"Go-go" was Katie's favorite phrase this week. Every time Grama or Grampa walked in the house, she'd look up at them with her big blue eyes and say "Go-go?" How could they resist?? They spent a lot of time walking outsdie with her, especially that last day. Posted by Picasa

On our final day in Washington, Dad and I took Katie out to the waterfront (Puget Sound). After a lunch of fish & chips and ice cream, Katie picked some flowers.... Posted by Picasa

Mother's Day, 2006. We went to my cousin Pam's house for a small family gathering. My Grama Skaare (Katie's Great-Grama) met Katherine June for the first time. Katie got her middle name from my Grama, so it was a special day for us. For my mother's day gift, Katie slept in until 6:30 (after waking at 5:15 all week) and called me "momma, momma, momma!" all day. It's the first time she's said "momma" while referring to me instead of the cat (who she calls "meow"). Posted by Picasa

While up at Lake 16 with Grama and Grampa Strand (Dad and Sigrid, to me), Uncle Daryll and Aunt Cheryl hosted a cookout at their house. I snapped this shot of Katie and Laney on the swing set, but Katie was beyond ready for bed by this point and we ended up having to leave the cookout early to get her home to bed. Unfortunately, I left before getting any other shots including the Strand side of the family. Posted by Picasa

We're outside looking into the chicken pen at this point. You can't really see very clearly in this shot, but Katie is pointing at Albert the rooster (the attack rooster, that is). He was cock-a-doodle-ing and Katie was saying "Cock!" right back to him. Posted by Picasa

Another puppy shot. Posted by Picasa

On 5/13, we stopped by Aunt Peg's farm to have a quick visit with Peg and Joe before they left for their Alaskan cruise. Katie was SO excited to see the puppies and was "woof"-ing all over the place. Posted by Picasa

Pasta night! We stripped her naked before dinner for obvious reasons. Posted by Picasa
