See Mommy Eat

Our See Mommy Run group is dwindling as more of the mommas go on to have second babies, put their older ones in day care, or return to work. The few remaining active members gathered for lunch at our favorite haunt, Zoe's kitchen, for a farewell luncheon for Sally and Matthew, who are moving to the New England area later this month. Pictured from left: Linda, Sally, Ben (in arms), me, Olivia (in arms), Kristin, Amber and Walker (in arms). Front row from left: Matthew (who belongs to Sally), Lindy (who belongs to Linda), Katie, Jake, Isa, Traci and Sophia (in arms).

The many faces of Ben and Katie

Ben was sick last week, so we were a little more accomodating to unusual requests (like being carried around 24/7). He's no longer sick, and is pretty ticked off that we aren't catering to his every whim. So it is with mixed emotion that we present to you Mr. Cranky-pants.
Katie, seeing her brother's dismay, is only that much more likely to paste on a super-star smile.
Minutes later, she tires of the papparazi and only wishes to have a moment alone to enjoy her blue raspberry yogurt.
While yogurt seems to have cured Ben of all his ails. We're still scrubbing cotton-candy yogurt off his face. That stuff is pretty tenacious!

Summer is here

Ty's official last day of school was June 5th (but we let him skip that day since he had no exams to make up), so he's now got a week of summer under his belt. He's staying pretty active so far. Most days, he either goes skateboarding or biking, does the fitness trail at the park, hangs out at the pool, or plays hockey out front (don't ask....we're as perplexed as you are!) He seems to enjoy having some extra time to hang out with Katie and Ben (and Ben loves his snuggles, as seen above) and he's also practicing his culinary skills by planning and preparing dinner for the family one night each week.
