Sea World

Day number two of our weekend in Orlando was spent at Sea World. Katie had a terrific time feeding and petting the sting rays.

Katie and Daddy feed the dolphins! We had a great visit at Sea World, but it was much too hot and the park is very spread out. We did manage to catch the Shamu show (no pics, though) before we headed home at 4:00, sweaty and exhausted. What a fun weekend!

Fun with Ben

While waiting for the light parade to start, we bought these lighty-spinny things to occupy the kids. It worked on Ben for a while (top photo), then he started running out of steam (middle photo, with Ty). Finally, I had to hoist him onto my shoulders (where he attempted to eat my hair!) He completely melted down by the time the parade came by at 8:15, so Tyler and I took him away from the crowds to try to calm him while Katie and Daddy watched the parade. Katie was quite tickled that all the characters seemed to be waving at her!

Cinderella's Castle

Nearing the end of a looooong day, we headed over to the castle to find a spot to view the light parade. The castle sure is something to look at, huh?

Cooling off

After some ice cream, we let the kids run around in front of the "spitting tikis". Ben couldn't quite figure out how to get squirted on purpose, but he sure did love getting soaked (as did Katie.) It was a great way for them to cool off.

Meeting the Characters

Katie insisted we all go to meet Mickey Mouse. This time, she was much more at ease around the characters than she has been in the past.

Ben was most intrigued with Mickey's nose.

Daddy and Katie went to see some of Mickeye's pals while Momma, Tyler and Ben played on the jungle gym. Here is Katie with Goofy.

The Magic Kingdom

This was Ben's third trip to Disney since he was born, but it's the first time he's been able to really enjoy it. And boy, did he love it!

Katie is now and "old pro" at the carousel, which she quickly pointed out is her favorite ride.

Ben enjoyed Dumbo as well, although he had a hard time seeing over the edge of the car!

Katie has a special place in her heart for Pooh Bear. Tyler looks like such a grown man next to the little kiddos. Where have the years gone?

Rainforest Cafe

It's hard to concentrate on eating when you are in the middle of a rain forest! Ben was in awe of all the jungle decor surrounding him, and he was utterly perplexed when it kept "raining" in the middle of dinner!
