Go, Diego, Go!

Grama Susan and Krista took Katie and Ben to see Go, Diego LIVE on Wednesday. Katie really enjoyed the show--she really got into the interactive things like growling like a Jaguar, scratching, and singing to the music. Ben wasn't a huge fan of sitting on Momma's lap for that long, but we managed to stay in the theater for most of the show before having to take him to the lobby to crawl around. Then we met up with Chris near his office for pizza. What a fun day!

Fun with boxes

What's the saying about expensive toys? Kids always seem to have more fun playing with the boxes they come in. Well, here's the box from Chris's Father's Day gift (a baby bike seat)--he went out on Monday and bought a beach cruiser to attach it to, as well as a second baby seat for Ben to ride in on my bike. But the kids sure have been enjoying the box this week!

Father's Day

Ben loves playing in the pool. Most of his energy is spent trying to splash all the water OUT of the pool, though.

Katie prefers to spend her time on the swing, but we can rarely convince her to get out of her swimsuit.

Uncle Rich and Aunt Karen joined us for Father's Day as well (Susan and Marvin came, but we neglected to get any shots of them). Here, Uncle Rich was keeping Ben entertained with napkins, which Ben delighted in tearing to shreds.

Brotherly love

Tyler and Ben enjoy a little nap time together. So sweet to see our two boys cuddled up together like this.

Crazy Kate

Momma's Monkey

Ben gets into all kinds of trouble lately. I spend most of the day chasing after him and trying to keep him out of these situations... Here he is stuck under the kitchen table.

Eating Katie's plastic bugs (which are just the right size to fit in his mouth). I'm already imagining the trip to the ER and the x-ray that shows he has a plastic scorpion in his stomach. Ugh!

Emptying out the diaper bin--he then proceedes to EAT the diapers. Again, images of the ER...

Summer fun

Puzzles are much more fun for Katie now that she has learned how to put them together. She used to just disassemble them--NOT a fun game for Momma.

The best part about this picture is what you can't see--she had a jingle-bell shaker in her backpack and was running and jingling all over the house.

The chair may have Katie's name on it, but Ben spends a fair amount of time in it as well. In fact, he's so adept at getting in and out of it, that Katie often ends up pushed on to the floor.
