Sticker Face

Katie helped Momma label the DVD's today.
She soon discovered that the inside of the labels came off as well, and that they stuck to just about anything. Yes, including the cat.
Peek-a-boo! Oh...and her shirt was taken off earlier in the day after what we are now calling the "chocolate incident." 

While Mom isn't looking...

I'll give you one guess who has "discovered" the bowl of Hershey's kisses. Before today, she always steered clear of them. I was upstairs working on the computer and looked over the loft rail to check on her, only to find her completely covered in chocolate with a huge mess in front of her. She didn't even stop once she was caught in the act--in fact, I think she went faster!

I deserve to have to clean this up. That's what I get for working on the computer. 

Drama Queen

Katie wants to have her picture taken (often!), but doesn't want to actually look at the camera or even hint at a smile.
We manage to coax a smirk...
And finally she gives up all together and gives us an "OH MY!" 

Now that Ben is out of the "slug stage", he is starting to show more interest in playing on the floor. Of course, as soon as he gets hold of a toy, his sister decides she wants to play with it.  

Katie loves "spooky-Pooh", who was Tyler's from many Christmases ago and has been relegated to the attic for so many years we forgot we had him. Even if he is kind of creepy, our daughter adores him! 

Katie wants to "uppa-Daddy", but that would require putting down either the baby or the beer. What to do??

All dressed up for the See Mommy Run party, which we hosted at our house on Dec. 9th. 

Cranky girl did not feel like eating dinner, so we defaulted to Cheerios, which she managed to pour down her shirt and fling all over the room. Only about two bites actually made it to her mouth. 

Happy boy opens up wide. The issue ended up being that the food didn't come fast enough, so we eventually gave up for the day and will try again tomorrow. 

Still going well... 

Ben's first attempt at solids! It actually went pretty well. He seemed interested in what we had to offer and most of it went in his tummy instead of his bib.

Katie was quite happy to take the ornaments from Momma and pass them off to either Tyler or Daddy at first, then eventually decided that only Tyler could decorate the tree. 

Trimming the family tree. Ben fussed through the whole event, so we don't have any photos of him on his first tree-trimming day.

Katie shows off her gifts from St. Nick (AKA Grama and Grampa Beutel). She was initially calling the Grinch a witch, but as of today, she is calling him "Ginch". 

So, are we a house divided? For those who live on another planet, the Gators (Krista's alma mater) will take on the Buckeye's (Chris's alma mater) for the NCAA football title in January. 

Can't we all just get along?
