Sponging Ben down after the pumpkin fiasco was no easy task, but Katie was a big helper.  

Turns out pumpkins are cold and wet and sticky. Ben wasn't a fan.

Here's the story: Katie refuses to wear hats. In fact, she even takes hair clips out of her hair if she knows they are there. So when we went to buy her a winter hat yesterday, imagine my surprise when she was not only willing to try the hat on, but then REFUSED to take it off through all of Target. We had to hand them to the cashier to check out, during which time she yelled "HEAD! HEAD! HEAD!" at the top of her lungs until I put the hat back on her in the car. She wore it (and the matching mittens, which she calls "hands") once we got home, too. Wonder if she'll insist on sleeping in them??

With a cold snap of weather this week, I made Tyler try on all his cool-weather clothes. These are jeans he got for Christmas last year. I promise you, they were not capri length when we bought them! Look at how much he's grown this year!
