Church girl on the move! She tends to do okay during church. She gets kind of "alarmed" during the music portion (given the 20-member chorus and rock band--no kidding!), but during the quiet parts (prayers, the sermon....) she wants to get down and walk around. I ended up pacing the lobby with her during most of the sermon. I suppose we should check out the nursery one of these days.

Here's a shot from yesterday (Feb. 26th). We were dressed and ready to go to church and Chris was trying to get a shot of Katie, but she kept walking towards the camera. In the background you can see the hardwood floors that were laid last weekend. Don't they look nice? 

Tyler taking a dunk in Grama's hot tub. He had run 6.5 miles on the treadmill on Saturday and then another 5 miles on Sunday morning! He's training to do the River Run (9.3 miles) in March! 

The weekend of Feb. 18-19th, Chris put in new hardwood flooring in the fireplace room and dining room. I took the kids and escaped to Mom's for one night, then on to Uncle Rich and Aunt Karen'ts on Sunday night. We had a great time! Here's a shot of Grama and Katie chilling out in the recliner.

We go to the grocery store at least once each week, and they always give Katie a balloon at checkout. When we get home, she likes to lay down with the balloon and snuggle while I unload the groceries. 

We typically keep our bedroom door shut during the day, as Katie loves to sneak into our bathroom and play with all the goodies in there. Here she is helping herself to the lotions, soaps, and assorted toiletries that sit in a basket on the corner of our tub. 

Katie took her first solo steps on January 31st! Now that she's fully mobile, we have a hard time getting pictures of her. As soon as she sees the camera, she just walks over to check out what we're doing. 

One of Katie's favorite games this month is to attempt to hold two items at one time in her right hand. She always walks around furniture in a counter-clockwise direction so that she can hold on with her free left hand (if needed) and still hold her two items in her right hand. On this day, she was holding a wire wisk and a flamingo. 

Katie and her favorite friend, Mr. Pig. He usually stays in her crib, but on this day, she insisted on carrying him around.
